A journey to a snowy city in the Kootenays and a coastal town on Vancouver Island
Help the Nelson Grade 9 students raise money to immerse their friends from Zeballos into the winter wonderland, mountain culture of Nelson, BC. We are fundraising for an exchange with Ehattesaht First Nation High Schoolers from Zeballos Elementary Secondary School on Vancouver Island. We are excited to host the students in our homes, at the Nelson Waldorf School and greater community for one week at the end of February and in May they will be hosting us! In order to help us share our amazing town and area, we need to raise money for activities, equipment rental, meals and more. We have received funding from Experience Canada to pay for transportation, but this does not cover any of the fun activities we would like to do with them… This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and your purchase of a raffle ticket will help this happen for us. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5, 8 for $20, 30 for $50 dollars and 100 for $100 dollars. The grand prize is $1000 dollars and the runner-up prize is $250 – the winners will be drawn on February 14th. There will be two early bird prizes for $50 dollars – drawn on December 14th and January 14th. The raffle is for 18+ BC residents only, but there is also an option to donate to canada helps who issue tax receipts. |
